Cynthia Pitts

Cynthia Ellen (Cleaver) Pitts, 69, of Carlisle, PA, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at her residence. She was born April 5, 1948 in Lorain, Ohio, to the late Allan Cleaver and Eleanor Katonak Cleaver.

Cindy taught Spanish for 35 years at the Carlisle School District, and was very involved with the students as the s enior class advisor.

Cindy enjoyed her friends, reading, creating jewelry and crafts, colorful art, and also her cats, who will now be lost without her. Cindy was a thoughtful, sensitive and generous person who will definitely be missed by her friends and family.

Cindy is survived by her sister, Sylvia "Sally" Farr, and husband, Bruce of Scottsdale, AZ, and nieces, Kimberly and Nicole.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cindy’s name to Furry Friends, PO Box 519, Boiling Springs, PA 17007 .
