Charles Leroy Graver

Charles “Charlie” Leroy Graver, 83, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, in the Holy Spirit Hospital. He was born August 10, 1943, in Gardners, to the late Boyd and Esther (Smith) Graver.

Charlie was a Carlisle High School graduate, class of 1963. He was retired from Schindler Elevator Company and was the owner/operator of Graver’s Garage for 60 plus years. Charlie was a member of the York County Racing Club and Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Gardners. In his spare time, Charlie was an avid sprint car racing fan. Graver’s Garage and racing were his favorite hobbies. Most importantly, he loved his daughter and grandchildren very much.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda (Beam) Graver of Carlisle; daughter, Kristin Shartzer (Bill) of Carlisle; granddaughters, Morgan Sayers of Carlisle; and Makenzie Nailor (Josh) of Landisburg; brother, Rodney (Ruth) Graver; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Nancy Graver. In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Graver.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Pastor Linda Shipman officiating. A viewing will be held Monday, August 24, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.
