Carolyn E. Hoover

Carolyn E. Hoover, 89, of Newville, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024, in the Green Ridge Village Nursing Home, Newville. She was born January 10, 1935, in Lemoyne to the late Clark Henry and Charlotte Marie (Brooks) Runk. She was the widow of Gerald F. Hoover who passed away in May of 2017.

Carolyn worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of the Mt. Holly Springs Church of God, where she cooked for church suppers. She was always delighted in helping with the church musical every year. Carolyn loved to shop, read, cook, spend time with her family, and loved her cats, Dessie (Dessel Dorf) and Sarah.

Surviving Carolyn are her children, Robin (Dwight) Snyder of Carlisle, Leslie Hollen of Carlisle; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren and one on the way. In addition to her parents and husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Bailey and one brother, Richard Runk.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Mt. Holly Springs Church of God, 602 McLand Drive, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065, Pastor Daniel Murray and Rev. Richard Reese officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services and a luncheon will follow the service immediately. Burial will take place in the Letort Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
