Bonnie J. (Cox) Karstetter

Bonnie J. (Cox) Karstetter, 82, of Carlisle, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 8, 2023, in her home. She was born February 15, 1941, in Newport to the late Daisy (Cox) Leibold and was the widow of Thomas Karstetter.

Bonnie was a member of Sweet Adelines. She was a stranger to none and was the life of the party. She loved to travel with her husband, cousins, and friends to see most of the USA, including Hawaii and Alaska, also Canada and Mexico. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking for family, gardening, bird watching, and most importantly spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her cat, Kitty, who was her constant companion. 

Surviving are her children, Julie (Wayne) Peterson of Gardners and Randy (Tammy) Karstetter of Newville; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a brother, Paul Leibold. In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Karstetter and brother, William Cox. 

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
