Betty Parson

Betty L. Parson, 81, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 29, 2014, surrounded by her family at her home in Gardners, PA.  She was born January 13, 1933 in Huntington, PA and was the widow of Gerald F. Parson who passed away Feb. 18, 2010.

Betty worked at Knouse Foods & Musslemans for many years and loved to sit on her porch with her dogs, Chelsey, Chrissy and Tammy.

She is survived by her son, Martin Parson of Chambersburg and 3 daughters; Patricia Parson (Sherman-her milkman) Wilkinson of Gardners, Deborah Parson (Robert) Lory of York Springs and Verna Parson at home. Also surviving is her sister, Alice Starliper of Newburg, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by her son, Daniel Parson, who passed away Sept. 7, 2001.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Wes Gunther officiating in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
