Betty L. Martin

Betty L. Martin, 68, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, in the UPMC Carlisle Hospital. She was born on September 21, 1957, in Chambersburg, PA, to the late John William Furry and Naomi (Shields) Baer.

Betty loved spending quality time with her family, especially holiday gatherings. She enjoyed going to the beach, spending days with her sisters, and loved nothing more than her grandchildren. Betty was a Temu queen, she loved online shopping.

Surviving is her husband, Dennis Martin, Sr., of Carlisle; children, Dennis Martin, Jr., of Carlisle, Rick Martin (Valarie) of Newville, Tracy Holley (Kevin) of Newville; six grandchildren, Austin Varner, Colby Martin, Quinten Hockley, Clayton Brougher, Blake Brougher, and Brooklynn Martin; six great grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Beck of Carlisle and Brenda Strine of Newville; and brothers, Richard Baer of Chambersburg, Willis Baer of Newville, and Ephraim Baer of Tyrone; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved pet, Muff. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Rhinehart. 

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Speranza Animal Rescue, 1216 Brandt Rd, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs.
