Betty Smith

Betty L. Smith, 76, of Newville, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Golden Living Center, Camp Hill. She was born August 8, 1937 in Newville to the late Charles and Claire Handshue Green.

A very loving and giving mother and grandmother, Betty’s focus was on her family. She enjoyed cooking for her children and grandchildren and was famous for her homemade beef noodles.

Betty is survived by her son, Dovelle (Anne) Smith; two daughters, Kimberly Smith (Melvin Brownawell) and Tina Smith (Jeff Souders); and a sister, Margaret Trough, all of Newville. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren: Cheyenne Souders, Joshua, Brant, Janine, Nicole and Sara Smith and Justin, Jonathan and Alisha Brownawell, and three great grandchildren: Natalia and Ava Darr and Myra Smith.

Services will be at the convenience of the family with interment in the Prospect Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs, PA.
