Barbara Jo Frey

Barbara Jo (Darhower) Frey, 64, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025, in her home. She was born October 31, 1960, in Carlisle, PA, to the late Luther E. and and Violet M. (Cleaver) Darhower.

Barbara worked for Cumberland County Voter Registration for local elections and Walmart where she was a stocker. She was a member of the Huntsdale Church of the Brethren, Newville. Barbara loved family time, especially cookouts on Sunday and time with her grandchildren. She was very fond of the ocean.

Surviving is her loving husband of 11 years, Steve Frey of Carlisle; children, Becky Shughart (Barry J.) of Carlisle, Chad McCullough and Jessica McCullough, both of Newville; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Charlotte and Austin McCullough, Steven and Joseph Gatten, James Myers, Maddison Shughart, and Mya Frey; siblings, Sue and Stephen L. Darhower and Christine Barbour. Also surviving are her step-children, Andrew and Lisa Frey; and beloved cat, Molly.

A visitation will be held Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
