Alice Kowatch

Alice E. Miller Kowatch, 89, formerly of New Cumberland, PA passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 in the Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle, PA. She was born December 30, 1927 in New Cumberland to the late Clyde and Kathryn Ross Miller.

Alice graduated from Pennsylvania State College in 1949 with a B.S. in Education and focused on Art Education when teaching. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. As abreeder and trainer of Boxers, Alice had a passion for all animals, nature and the outdoors.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years George M. Kowatch of Orlando, FL; three sons, Gary M. (Kim) Kowatch of Frederick, MD, G. Martin Kowatch of Lancaster, PA and George R. (Tory) Kowatch of Spring City, PA. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Zachary, Dale, Michaela and Sterling Kowatch.
