Trudy Cornman

Trudy L. Cornman, 62, of Carlisle, PA passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 22, 1955 in Carlisle, PA to the late Paul R. and Arlene Thumma Shuler. Trudy retired from the Carlisle Hospital with 20 years of service as the Medicare Director. An avid gardener, she loved spending time in her flower beds. Trudy enjoyed attending yard sales and searching for antiques and collectables.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Donald L. Cornman; her daughter, Melissa A. Washington of Greensboro, NC; and her son, Scot C. Cornman of Shippensburg. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren; her siblings, Connie Van Meter of Mt. Holly Springs, Paul Shuler Jr. of Bloserville and Mike Shuler of Shippensburg; her step sister, Deborah Barclay of Newville; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of her Life will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 1:30 to 4:30 PM at the West Pennsboro Fire Hall, 20 Park Rd., Plainfield, PA 17081 with Chaplain Roger Smith officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carlisle Cancer Center, 25 Sprint Drive, Carlisle, PA 17015.
