Tim Bear

Tim A. Bear, 55, of Newville, PA passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016. Tim fought a courageous battle and was surrounded by his family when he passed at home. He was born March 28, 1961 in Carlisle, PA to Shirley (Kling) Bear of Carlisle and the late Paul E. Bear Sr. who passed away in 2003.

Tim worked for the Cumberland County Housing and Redevelopment Authority for 26 years. He was a naturally talented woodworker. Tim loved the outdoors, enjoyed hunting and helping with 4-H and FFA activities. His real pride and joy were his children Cody and Morgan.

In addition to his Mother he is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jackie (Woodside) Bear, a son, Cody Bear and a daughter,  Morgan Bear all of Newville. Also surviving are two sisters, Beverly (Barry) Shughart of Carlisle and Tracey (Jason) Warner of Elliottsburg; two brothers, Paul (Lois) Bear Jr. and John Bear both of Carlisle; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Chaplain Allan Echard officiating. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, starting at 12:00 PM, until the service time at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Mt.
