Robert Belden

Robert (Rob) L. Belden II, 72, of Lake Meade, East Berlin, PA passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 in Homewood at Plum Creek, Hanover, PA. He was born March 11, 1945 in Carlisle, PA to the late Murray G. and Dorothy J. Deckman Belden. Rob is survived by his wife of 33 years, Beth Burkhart Belden and his brother, Edward D. (Patricia) Belden of Newville, PA.

He worked for Arthur Deckman Beverage and was the former owner of Shippensburg Beverage. An accomplished golfer, Rob also loved archery hunting, fishing, Street Rods, fine foods and traveling. Most importantly, he was a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 3 to 5 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065. Memorial contributions may be made to PA Wounded Warriors, Inc., 1117 Country Club Rd., Camp Hill, PA 17011. Online condolences may be made to www.hollingerfuneralhome.com

Rob and I grew up together all the way back to Franklin Elementary School in Carlisle, PA. I have fond memories of us playing sports (especially kickball) on the playground. I also remember the good times playing little league baseball in Carlisle. I will cherish all those memories the rest of my life.
