Richard Kane Jr.

Richard W. Kane Jr., 54, of Carlisle, PA passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 in the Harrisburg Hospital. He was born May 11, 1961 in Harrisburg to the late Richard W. Sr. and Cynthia Norrell Kane. He was the widower of Frances Eichelberger Kane.

Richard worked for Knouse Foods in Biglerville as a fork lift operator. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie 1299, White Circle in Carlisle, VFW and American Legion in Mt. Holly Springs. Richard loved to go fishing, Nascar and was a Cowboys fan.

He is survived by two daughters, Melissa (Matthew Cook) Kane  and Amber Marie (Brent Miller) Kane both of Carlisle; five grandchildren, Ashton Zygmunt, Logan Zygmunt, Landon Cook, Ava Cook and Bradley Miller. Also surviving Richard are siblings, Shen (George) Diehl of Shippensburg, Lisa Bocz of Mt. Holly Springs, Monica (Scott) Wilson and Randy (Billie Jo) Kane both of Newville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by a brother, Michael Kane.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13, 2016 at 10:30 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA  17065 with the Rev. Jeffrey Gibelius officiating. There will be a visitation Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
