Rev. William L. Richwine, 83, of Carlisle, PA, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 16, 1932 in Mt. Holly Springs,  to the late George W. and Rose Ann Garner Richwine. Rev. Bill worked tirelessly throughout his life; he was employed at Musselmans, Dickinson Twp. road crew, Diehl Feed Mill, at Craighead and the railroad. Bill retired from Wilcox Forging, Mechanicsburg, after 37 years in 1994. He enjoyed writing, gardening and loved all animals, especially birds. Bill served in the Army Reserves from 1952 to 1957.  A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he also ministered faithfully for the Mountain View Full Gospel Church and its congregation.

Bill is survived by his wife of 66 years, Neva V. Fox Richwine; 2 daughters, Rebecca Jean Richwine and Mary J.(Michael) Kutz, both of Carlisle; and 3 sons, David L. of Aspers, James A. of Elizabethtown and Aaron H. of Carlisle. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild on the way; his siblings, Harry D. “Sonny”(Priscilla) Richwine of Colorado Springs and Thelma L. Shelton of Florida; and sister-in-law, Margaret Richwine of Mt. Holly Springs. He was preceded in death by 3 sons, Mark (7/6/1970), Joel (5/8/1984) and Phillip (8/7/1998); siblings, Rose (Clarence) Durf, Anna Mae (Richard) Gross, Gladys Richwine, Freeman “Jack” Richwine, John Richwine and Clinton “Mugs” (Mary) Richwine; brother-in-law, Jack Wolf; grandson-in-law, Sean Huber; and great grandson, Trindal Richards.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Glenn Yohn officiating. Interment will be in the Big Rock Cemetery, Dickinson Twp. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
