I met Norene over 20 years ago through a mutual Dickinson College friend. I traveled 45 minutes to get therapeutic massage from Norene once a month for all those years until I left the area in 2017. Norene became a dear friend and confidant, always showing such an interest in my life and my family. We shared a wonderful connection. She had uncanny compassion and insight, showing her love in many acts of service. I will never, ever find as skilled a massage therapist as she. I credit her with helping me maintain a high level of activity despite my stenosis. We last saw each other for lunch just before Covid. The world has lost a bright light. I send deep care to her family and to Bruce.

I first met Norene when I was coordinating a ministry effort which would offer love, care and support to mothers of children with disabilities. I was looking for local service providers, including massage therapists, to donate their time and skills for this very special and meaningful day. Norene had been highly recommended, so I called her. After hearing of this need, she was very gracious and more than happy to assist. That was just the first of many "Day of Pampering" events in which Norene would take part. Yes, her expertise in massage was a gift to many at those events, but it was her heart toward others who struggled that was the greatest blessing. Norene quickly became my own massage therapist. And she filled this role with great care. But, much much more than that, she quickly became my dear friend. Her ability to listen with a tender heart & her gifts of wisdom and encouragement were never lacking. Her steadfast faith in our sovereign God was a constant source of inspiration (and will continue to be so). I have so appreciated the gift of Norene in my life! I will truly miss her, but am beyond grateful for the time and friendship I had with her & for the tenderness and joy she brought to my days. Prayers for Norene's family. May you be comforted by precious and treasured memories and the embrace of an ever-loving Heavenly Father.
