Mildred Travis

Mildred Travis, 102, of Carlisle, PA, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at her residence. She was born on January 31, 1916 to the late Richard and Laura (VanKanan) Grunwell. Mildred is the widow of Frank J. Travis, who passed away in 1977.

Mildred was a member and senior citizen of the White Haven United Methodist Church, where she was in the widow group. She was also a member of the West Point Fire Company ladies auxiliary.

She is survived by her son, David Travis of Carlisle; grandchildren, Zachary Travis of Carlisle, Terry Travis of Hatfield and Jeffrey Travis and partner, Kirk Behnke of Meadowbrook; great-grandson, Christian Behnke of Meadowbrook; and siblings, Virginia Hines of West Chester, Naomi and Joan Grunwell, both of Phoenixville. In addition to her husband, Mildred is preceded in death by her son, Bruce Travis and siblings, Elmer, Wayne and Bill Grunwell, Dorothy Miller, and Betty Zerby.

David and Zachary -  So sorry to hear of Aunt Mildred's passing.  She lived a wonderful, long life.  Glad she had the two of you to spend the last few years with.  I have many fond memories of family gatherings in West Point and visits in White Haven and I will cherish them.   Valerie Webb
