Margaret Wilder

Margaret (McMahon) Wilder, 90, of Mechanicsburg, PA passed away July 12, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 20, 1928 in Harrisburg to the late Thomas J. and Grace Boyd (Seighman) McMahon.

Margaret was a graduate of Catholic High, Harrisburg and Mercy School of Nursing, Pittsburgh. She worked as a nurse for Harrisburg Hospital for five years and Health South for eleven years. Margaret was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Mechanicsburg. Throughout her life she quietly helped others by collecting for organizations, making meals for neighbors and contributing to bake sales. Margaret loved organizing and participating in family activities and playing bridge in her spare time.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Richard Stanley Wilder of Mechanicsburg; 8 children, Carol Wilder Weezorak and husband, Robert of Camp Hill, Margaret Wilder Fisher, James Spencer Wilder, Jane Wilder Sohomuch and husband, Michael and Alison Wilder Mansfield and husband, Michael, all of Mechanicsburg, William Fisher Wilder and wife, Marina of York, Thomas Durand Wilder and wife, Lisa of Dillsburg and Timothy Curtis Wilder of New Cumberland. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Jo Maguire and husband, Richard of Brunswick, ME. Margaret is preceded in death by her son, Richard S. Wilder Jr.; granddaughter, Mckenna Sohomuch and sisters, Patricia Sterner, Grace Montgomery and Annette McMahon.

A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 310 Hertzler Rd., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 with Rev. Dennis Weezorak as celebrant. A visitation will be held at 9:30 AM until the time of service and burial at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery immediately following the service. A luncheon will follow at the family residence. Memorial contributions may be made to Homeland at Home Hospice. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
