Margaret Mottola

Margaret M. Mottola, 81, of Dix Hills, NY  passed away Monday, September 17, 2018 in the Chapel Pointe Care Facility, Carlisle. She was born October 28, 1936 in Mineola, NY to the late Thomas F. and Margaret (Casey) Maher and the widow of John Mottola, who passed away March 16, 2011.

She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Roosevelt, NY and worked for the Long Island Lighting Co. before starting her family. Margaret was a member of the St. Matthews Roman Catholic Church, Dix Hills, NY.

She is survived by her children, Thomas Mottola and wife, Nina (Shover) of Mt. Holly Springs and Greg Mottola and wife, Sarah (Allentuch) of New York City; and three grandchildren, Max, Lily and Jane. Margaret is preceded in death by her siblings, John and Nancy Maher.

A prayer service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with the Very Rev. William C. Forrey. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service and burial will be in the Pine Lawn Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
