Lee Kunkle

Lee E. Kunkle, 93, formerly of South Middleton Twp., Carlisle, PA, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017, in the Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg, PA. He was the widower of June H. Kunkle, who passed away May 30, 2015. Lee was born June 19, 1924 in Carlisle, PA, to the late Clarence E. and Edna A. Waggoner Kunkle.

He retired from the Dickinson College, where he worked in the book store. Lee was an Army veteran, serving in WWII.  Also, a member of the Carlisle VFW Post 477 and the Newville American Legion Post 421.

Surviving is his son, David R. Kunkle of Carlisle. Lee is preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Reeser.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 1:00 PM, in the Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Richard Reese officiating. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave. Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
