Lawrence Failor Sr.

Lawrence M. "Buzz" Failor Sr., 72, of Carlisle, PA passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at home. He was born April 12, 1943 in Carlisle, PA to the late Parker E. and Martha Duncan Failor Sr. He was the widower of Emma Shaffer Failor.

Lawrence retired from the Carlisle Borough with 44 years of service as a heavy equipment operator. He loved hunting, fishing, camping or anything to do with the outdoors, and was an avid gardener. Lawrence was all about family; they were everything to him.

He is survived by his sons, Lawrence "Buzzy" Failor Jr. and Randy Failor, both of Carlisle,  and David Failor Sr. of Liverpool; daughters, Sarah Woodall and Pamela Armold, both of Carlisle; 19 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, Alice Crosley of Mt. Holly Springs, Eugene Failor Sr. of Gardners, and Paul Failor, John Failor and Charlene Shaffer, all of Carlisle.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with the Rev. James Woodall officiating. A  viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in the Westminster Cemetery.
