Kim Kauffman

Kim E. Kauffman, 67, of Harrisburg, PA passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at UPMC Harrisburg. He was born May 12, 1953 in Harrisburg, PA to the late Lincoln E. (Gene) and Roxanne R. (Henry) Kauffman.

Kim was a 1971 graduate of Central Dauphin High School and attended HACC.  After 15 years as a heating and air conditioning technician, he retired from Messiah College in 2015. An avid outdoorsman, Kim enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, and loved watching the wildlife from his home in the woods. He was a member of the Blue Ridge Gun Club, American Legion #1001 and the William Penn Social Club.

Kim is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Sherrie Lynn (Frye) Kauffman, his children, Lindsey B. of Hanoi, Vietnam and Grant A. of Harrisburg. Also surviving is his sister, Karla Bear and her husband, Robert and their son, Chad of Mt. Holly Springs, PA. Kim was preceded in death by his nephew, Scott A. Bear.

A celebration of Kim’s life will be scheduled in the future. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Carolyn’s House, Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110 or Shell’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 287 Shells Church Rd., Grantville, PA 17028.
