Joseph E. King, 70, of Carlisle, PA, passed away November 29, 2019 in the UPMC Pinnacle West Shore with his loving companion, Marci Branscum at his side. He was born to the late Lester (Pete) King and Thelma (Kirkpatrick) King on February 18, 1949. Joe was preceded in death by his son, Steve King, who passed away October 21, 2018.

Surviving are his much loved companion of 25 1/2 years, Marci Branscum and her son, Brett Branscum; daughter, Leslie Glaser (Randy Shreve); sisters, Bev (Rick) Salem of Richland, Mary Stover of Dillsburg and Wanda Stover of Harker Heights, TX; grandsons, Zachary King(Krista) of New Jersey and Ian King of Marysville; and great-granddaughters, Riley and Madison, both of New Jersey.

Joe worked at Libbys, The Frog Switch Co. and Carnation Co. He was best known as a musician and entertainer, playing with numerous bands at many establishments in the Carlisle area and as far as Florida. Additionally, Joe performed as a solo act specializing in old style country music. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his horses and mules, riding motorcycles, reading cowboy books by Louis Lamour, hunting and fishing and was a devoted Beatle fan. Most of all he loved Marci, his family and friends, and his dogs, Pete and Maude.
