Doris Henneman Dillinger

Doris M. (Silvis) Henneman Dillinger, age 90, of Carlisle passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle, PA. She was born January 4, 1927, in South Bend, Armstrong County, PA, to the late T. Marvin and M. Pearle (Dillinger) Silvis. She is survived by her husband, Walter P. Dillinger of Cedaredge, CO.

Doris was retired from Reeves-Hoffman Division, DCA, Carlisle, PA. She was a homemaker and master quilter.

In addition to her husband, Doris is survived by four sons; G. Edward (Sandy) Henneman, of Corning, NY, James R. (Lorrie) Henneman, of Newville, PA, Gerald R. (Phyllis) Henneman, of Carlisle, PA, and Rev. Dr. R. Bruce (Tammy) Henneman, of Landisburg, PA, six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Dorothy Hollis, Albion, NY, and a brother, William Silvis, Indianapolis, IN. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband George H. Henneman, a grandson G. Edward Henneman Jr., a brother Howard Silvis, and three sisters, I. Elizabeth (Betty) Beatty, Mabel I. Allen, and Marie I. Silvis.

To comply with Doris’s wishes, services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
