Donna graduated from Carlisle High School in 1959 and was a graduate of Central Pennsylvania Business School, class of 1961.  She owned and operated Miller’s Tree Farm in Gardners, PA. Donna was an employee of Knouse Foods for 35 years, where she was a devoted salesperson who enjoyed working with her customers and attending many food shows.  Donna was a life member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Goodyear. She enjoyed spending time with her church family, serving as the choir director for over 50 years, teaching Sunday School, and was a member of the Ladies Aid Association. She kept a busy social calendar and looked forward to breakfasts with her CHS 1959 classmates, lunches with the Ladies of the Red Hat Society, and dinners with her many close friends. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family relaxing and celebrating life.

Donna is survived by two daughters, Jodi Holsopple (Terry) and Tammi Beamer (Rodney), both of Gardners, PA; three granddaughters, Tasha Beamer (Nick Bohacz) of Richboro, PA, Amber Holsopple of Pittsburgh, PA, and Heather Beamer (Jarred Sharpe) of Grantham, PA; and a special great-grandson, Nicholas J. Bohacz of Richboro, PA.  She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and furr-grandchildren.

Private services will be held for the family with Pastor David Clark officiating, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4200 Carlisle Rd., Gardners, PA 17324.

I'm Tom Weidner, a cousin once removed or some nomenclature like that.  We had the pleasure of having lunch with Donna last year and had a wonderful time. She has that great sense of humor and has provided details on the Weidners around Gardners for many years.  We also enjoyed visiting her house a few times and driving around and she would point out where this Weidner used to live and so on.  In scheduling lunch, she said she had another engagement but going to Carlisle was not far out of her way.  Well, it actually required her to double her trip b/c Carlise was the opposite direction of her other engagement.  But that was Donna; she'd do anything for you.  She was a firestorm of activity and had more energy on one day than I over a week or two.    We miss her.Tom and Joan Weidner, Cranbury, NJ

JoDi and Tammi,I am so sorry to learn of your Mom’s passing; you have my deepest condolences. Upon my graduation in 1972, I got a job with the PA Department of Environmental Resources in Gettysburg as their Clerk Stenographer. Your Mom took me under her wing and showed me the ropes. She was very kind, intelligent and had a great sense of humor. She helped me fit in with the rest of the crew during the year I was there. Jerry, Phil, Foster, Lee, Mrs. Hartzell and all the nurses and social workers were quite the fun bunch of co-workers.I remember coming to your house one night to get my ears pierced. Your Mom gave me ice cubes to numb my lobes and then Gail (the nurse we worked with) pierced my ears with a hypodermic needle!! My husband and I would stop in occasionally to purchase a Christmas tree as well so I could say hello. I never knew your Mom worked at Knouse Foods. After I quit my job in Gettysburg we moved to Colorado for 4 years and I lost track of where she was working. I guess I assumed she stayed in Gettysburg and retired from there.Hugs to both of you,BRENDA Weigle

Jodi and Tammi,  So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing.  Your home was a second home to me growing up.  Your Mom was a beautiful lady in all ways.  Take comfort in knowing she is with the Lord.  May God comfort you in your time of sorrow.

Jodi, Tammi and families please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers at the very difficult time. Through my many years of working with Donna at Knouse Foods I always knew if I had questions or problems I could go to her and she would help me get the information I needed to complete the task. As we all know through our faith she is now resting in the loving arms of our Lord. RIP my dear lady.

It is with a sad heart that I send my deepest condolences Tammi and Jody.  My prayers and thoughts are with you and all your families at this time.  We spent many times together many years ago: Selling trees at your Grandparent's tree farm, Gun Club nights, Dinners at the Water  Street Cafe.  In those years, Donna was my best friend. I think (and have thought about) those years so often since then.  Love and my heart is with you at this time.
