Dale Hansen

Dale Lester Hansen Sr., 70, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at his residence. He was born June 27, 1948 in Harlan, IA to the late Lester S. and Goldie R. (VanConet) Hansen.

Dale retired with 28 years of service as an IPE Mechanic from the Navy Depot, Mechanicsburg and served in United States Army during the Korean War. His memberships included; VFW Post 7343, Mt. Holly Springs and the VFW Post 8861, Boiling Springs. Dale enjoyed being outdoors, especially walking in the mountains and farming during his younger years. A natural handyman, he could fix anything. Dale was a dog lover and enjoyed the companionship of Fred, his rescued lab mix.

Surviving is his loving wife of 49 years, Jenilyn (Spencer) Hansen of Mt. Holly Springs; children, Dale L. Hansen Jr. and wife, Terri of Gardners and Stacy R. McCole and husband, Andrew of Shippensburg; and grandchildren, Jacob and Hayden McCole. Also surviving are his siblings, Anita Bishop of Florida, Adella Hansen of Maryland and Calvin Hansen of Iowa.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM in the Ironmaster's Mansion, 1212 Pine Grove Rd., Gardners, PA 17324. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
