Berthe Danner

Berthe P. Danner, 83, of Newville, PA passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 in Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She was born September 19, 1933 in Leige, Belgium to the late Edward Walthere Joseph and Lucienne Marie Simonis VanderDonck.

Berthe attended the South Fairview First Church of God. She loved to play bingo and liked to work in the garden.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Arthur L. Danner of Newville; her son, Robert Jacob Danner and his wife Terri of Spring Hill, FL; her daughter, Michele Danner of Newville; three grandchildren, Erik Danner of Shippensburg, Jacob and Brandon Danner both of Spring Hill, FL. Also surviving is a sister, Mariette Steck of Carlisle. Berthe was preceded in death by sisters, Josee Weidner and Simone Spinnette.

Funeral service will be held Friday, May 26, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the South Fairview First Church of God, 1212 Centerville Road, Newville, PA 17241 with the Rev. Sam Cunningham and Rev. Harry Madison officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will be in the South Fairview First Church of God Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to her church. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home and Crematory, Mt.
