Ann Lowry

Ann E. Lowry, 77, of Mt. Holly Springs passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016 in the Harrisburg Hospital. She was born March 10, 1939  in Tyrone, PA to the late Charles and Anna Eileen Fagley Port. She was the widow of Robert Leroy Lowry.

Ann attended Nurse's Training after high school. She worked as a nursing assistant at Blue Ridge Haven West and Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Ann also was a daycare worker at Wee Little Lambs. She was a regular attendee at Christ Community Church in Camp Hill. Ann volunteered  for Heartland Hospice and the Amelia Given Library. She made friends wherever she went, she will be missed.

She is survived by her five children, Kurt (Laura) Kempf of Mechanicsburg, Lisa Ann (Kelby) Steele and Karen (Jeff) Kolodzi both of Carlisle, Matthew (Beth) Kempf of Boiling Springs, Ryan Lowry of Palm Beach Co., FL; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Joan Woodring of Tyrone, Karen Jackson of Houston, TX,  Allyn Updyke, Hummelstown, PA and Carol Jean Gerace of Enola. Ann is predeceased by a brother, Dr. Richard Port.

Ann's family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Carlisle Regional and Harrisburg Hospital for the exceptional care their Mother received in her stay with them.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 10:30 AM in the Christ Community Church, 1201 Slate Hill Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011 with the Rev. Timothy Spirk officiating. There will be a visitation from 9:30 AM until the service and a luncheon following the service. Interment will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
