Robert E. Myers, 84, of Gardners, Pa, went home to be with the Father October 9, 2018, at home with his loving family by his side. Born September 24, 1934 in Gardners, PA, he was the son of the late Floyd E. and M. Ethel (Therit) Myers.
He attended Boiling Springs Highschool and left to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force as an airplane mechanic, where he earned his G.E.D. He retired from Lobar as an Electrician.
He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, riding his fourwheeler, tinkering in his garage and spending time with his family. He was a handyman and could do just about anything.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Ada D. (Kuhn) Myers, two sons; Robert B. Myers and his wife, Cindy of York Springs, Pa, Thomas E. Myers and his fiancé, Jana Burdge of Mt. Holly Springs, Pa, one daughter; Barbara S. Guise and her husband, Douglas E. Guise of Gardners, Pa; nine Grandchildren; Jerry Myersand his wife, Michelle of Dillsburg, Pa, Tess Myers of Abbottstown, Gina Cook and her husband, Travis of East Berlin, Pa, Shayna Engel and her wife, Jamie of Andrew’s Air Force Base, MD, Tiffany Crum and her husband David of York, Pa, Abbie Mortorff and her husband Jeremy of Mechanicsburg, Pa, Miranda Lebo and her husband Joel of Gardners, Pa, Andrea Moomaw and her fiancé Ben Smyserof Gardners, Pa, and Thaddeus Guise and his wife Erin of Gardners, Pa; nine Great Grandchildren, Maki Myers, Brylee Myers, Hannah Myers, Conner Cook, Mason Cook, Bailey Mortorff, Clayton Lebo, Summer Lebo, Ella Guise and one on the way; KadeMortorff.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Gerald J. Myers and Rodney E. Myers and two sisters Glenda A. Marsh and Betty J. Smith.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065, with Rev. Robert Marsh and Rev. Tom Phillips officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service and burial will be in the Mt. Holly Springs cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Cumberland County Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt.
