Earl K. "Sleep" Lynch, 74, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the UPMC Pinnacle West Shore. He was born on June 28, 1943in Carlisle to the late Earl S. and Phyllis J. (Smith) Lynch.

Earl was a custodian for the Mt. Holly Springs Elementary School from 1979 until 1998. He was a former member of the Citizens Fire Co. No. 1 and a life member of the American Legion Post 674. Earl loved to watch NASCAR and football.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Deborah F. (Mentzer) Lynch; daughter, Deborah J. "Peach" Lynch of Newville; three grandchildren, Lynzey Lawyer of Mt. Holly Springs, Dylan and Kyler Sherman, both of Newville; one great grandson, Kevin Hernandez of Newville; sisters, Anna May Rudy and Patricia Ann Shatto, both of Carlisle. Earl is preceded in death by two brothers, Donald S. and Francis J. Lynch.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 9:00 AM in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery with Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. A memorial service will follow at 10:30 AM in the Mt. Holly Springs Church of God, 602 McLand Dr., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065. A visitation will begin at 9:30 AM until the time of service.Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.

Mr. Lynch was the custodian during my years at Mt. Holly Springs Elementary back in the '70's and the Uncle of one of my best friends growing up, Penny Thomas. I have very fond memories of him when I was in elementary school. So sorry for your loss, he was a great man.
