Adam, My heart goes out to you in the loss of your father. So very sorry. I know you and Fred were very close and you shall miss him; but you will have lots of precious memories to remember him by. God will comfort you during this time of sadness.

Fred was one of my favorite students when I taught English at Boiling Springs. He was so smart. I gave an assignment to the class. Then I noticed Fred was reading a book. The Gulag Archipelago. I thought he was blowing off the assignment. But he had already finished it and chose to spend his time reading a difficult book instead of just zoning out. I hope he enjoyed his life.
