             Barbara Ann Thomas, 58, of Carlisle, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle. Barbara was born July 17, 1959 in Chambersburg, PA and is the daughter of Erma Calaman Thomas and the late Roy L. Thomas of Boiling Springs.

            Barbara was employed by the Carlisle Pike Sheetz as a cashier. A graduate of the Boiling Springs High School, Class of 1977 and a member of the Lighthouse Church of God, Carlisle, PA.

            Surviving in addition to her mother are two sons, John Mark Petonyak and Thomas Alan Laughman, both of Carlisle; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Petonyak and fiance, Brad Waitsman of Carlisle; sister, Laurie Ann Strayer and husband, Paul of Boiling Springs; brother, Richard Lee King of Mechanicsburg; and seven grandchildren, Dru, Ivan, Christian, Myles, Ashley, Katelynn and Sean.

            Services will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Lighthouse Church of God, 910 Calvary Rd., Carlisle, PA 17013 with Associate Pastor Charlene Ramirez officiating.  A visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be held in the Letort Cemetery, Carlisle. Memorial contributions may be made to Sheetz for the Kids, 5700 Sixth Ave., Altoona, PA 16602 or Ronald McDonald House, 745 W. Governor Rd., Hershey, PA 17033. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs, PA.

So sorry to hear of Barbie's passing. Will never forget all the fun times when we were kids growing up. She will be missed. Cherish all the memories. May God Bless. Liz, Aunt Erma and cousin Laurie, will be thinking and praying for you all.

My heart is saddened by Barbs passing. This beautiful young woman came into our lives and we danced and laughed together. I moved out of state and lost track of her but I will always cherish the memories. Her family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Barb was a very special lady who communed with God. She will be missed so very much. May God be with you during this time of loss and celebration of her home going.
