Christa and Chad, I was so sad to hear your father passed away. I saw him recently and we laughed and joked about getting older and staying out of trouble! He was always smiling and cheerful when we spoke. You are in my prayers as you go on this journey

Christa and Chad, sorry to hear of your dads passing. I taught across the hall from him. I also grew up with your mom at Grace church. Your dad was a great guy always upbeat and positive. You have my deepest sympathy. Darlene Horn Heberlig

My son, Robbie, was fortunate enough to have Mr. Bassett as his second grade teacher. Chuck was also one of my mentors and friend as I entered the teaching profession and taught at Crestview Elementary. He was always an inspiration and role model to me as he was such a friendly, happy person which I loved to be around. He will definitely be missed!

Christa and Chad, with everyone else, I will pray that God gives you comfort during this difficult time. I first knew your Dad from SS, at Alison. Everyone loved his sense of humor, his compassion, and his friendship. He will be missed.

It was my privilege to serve at Allison U.M. Church for several years in the late '80's into the '90s as an Associate Pastor and work with Chuck closely in so many ministries related to young people and youth. I was blessed by his Christian witness as a fellow disciple and enjoyed so many great times with him and Christa and Chad in the fellowship at Allison Church. He was unassuming, humble, gracious, funny, faithful and a friend. Blessings to all Chuck loved who now live in this life without his earthly presence. We have been blessed by Christ's love in and through him and we rejoice that he now shares Christ's eternal presence.
