Deb and I grew up in Rivera Beach as kids and went throughout our school years together. Deb was a wonderful spirit with a heart that went on for miles. I will truly miss her. God Bless Her and Her Family

I'm so sorry to hear of Deb's passing. My prayers to the entire family. Deb and I grew up together, lost contact for many years and Facebook brought us back in contact with each other. She will be greatly missed. I truly will miss talking to her. She was beautiful inside and out.

How does one say goodbye to a friendship that lasted 47 years?
Debbie, we have cried, laughed till we almost wet ourselves, but our joy was music, to this day I hear a new song it takes me back to Dunlap Road. My heart is shattered into a quad zillion pieces. I feel such a loss! I send comfort out to Mrs. Barbara, Mr. John, and Mr. Bob, Bobby, Enrique, Joey, and Lucas. The world has lost a wonderful soul. I know how you struggled with things, but I also have seen how far you have come. Hold a spot for me with our rocking chairs the music will play on. It is so hard for me knowing your not here to listen to my silly rants. You made my life complete when you would send a hug or a article that concerned us. Gets so hard to breathe, my heart is all over the place like a zillion shattered pieces and my glue that held it together is now in no more pain and at peace. Debbie you will never be forgotten! I love you Sis from another Mother. I know we will meet again however right now and for always I have a huge hole. Go rest high on your Mountain with Marvin Gay. Your now free....

So very sorry to hear about the loss of beautiful Debbie and sending my deep condolences, my thoughts are with her loved ones. I connected with Deb on Facebook all the way from Melbourne, Australia through her bff Robi Yelton and we hit it off STRAIGHT away about 5 years ago and shared our love for soul music but felt like we knew eachother forever! I just can't believe it and am still pretty shocked as we had never met in person, which BREAKS my heart but Deb I will quote back the last thing you wrote to me on Facebook as I felt the exact same way to meet such a beautiful heart and soul inside and out., "...I love you too! Whoever says you can't like or love someone you've never met, has not met you on Facebook!❤" - Deborah Lynne Mayer-Lawrence, and I felt the exact same way and thank you for such a beautiful friendship Deb and will be writing a soul song dedicated and inspired by you. Love always and forever, Ange/Bustee and have dance with Marvin for me and goodbye sweet Angel.<3 <3 <3 Xox

I just went on Facebook to ask her a question and found out she was gone. A beautiful human being in every way. I still remember the way she carried her books walking down the halls of Northeast. My supreme condolences to all of her family and friends. She was a ray of light in an often dark world.
